She has performed in over 20 roles at the Des Moines Playhouse, including Into the Woods, Chicago and Guys and Dolls as well as appeared in productions at StageWest, the Urbandale Community Theatre and Colorado Springs’s Little Red Barn Theater.
Gina earned a 2018 Cloris Award for her leading role as Florence Foster Jenkins in Souvenir and is a four-time Dionysos award winner, mostly recently in 2021 as Best Actress in Peggy Jackson’s Weekend Comedy.
Gina has been a resident performer at Des Moines’s NOCE Jazz and Cabaret Club since its inception in 2015. At Noce, Gina has created and headlined hit shows including THE FAB FOUR, the music of Barbra, Bette, Linda, and Peggy; ONE MONKEY DON’T STOP NO SHOW, the Music of Bette Midler and the Broadway-themed CURTAIN UP! LIGHT THE LIGHTS.
Equally versed across genres, Gina can be singing something soft and jazzy one moment and then break into an upbeat number from the 70’s. She performs as a lead vocalist with the Ballyhoo Foxtrot Combo and the Soya Vista Jazz Orchestra and regularly appears as featured a guest vocalist with bands throughout Central Iowa.
